Artist Statement

There’s a rhythm that moves beneath the surface of everything — in the shifting light on a wall, in the tangle of city wires, in the quiet pulse of thought before it becomes language. My paintings are an attempt to translate that rhythm — to find the hum beneath the noise.

I begin without a map. Lines, grids, and gestures emerge like pathways through an interior landscape. Color comes next — sometimes measured, sometimes impulsive — guiding me through layers of order and interruption. Each mark feels like both a construction and a disruption, a conversation between structure and emotion, finding what is under the surface.

I’m drawn to that tension — the way chaos can find a kind of harmony, the way precision can hold something human and raw. The work is never planned in advance; it builds itself through movement, connection, and intuition until it begins to breathe on its own.

In the end, I hope the paintings feel like music — visual hymns to the complexity of being alive in a world that’s always intersecting, colliding, and finding beauty in between.
